The Loc8tor Pet is a small and light wireless pet locator. This battery operated pet tracker can help pet owners locate their wandering pet. Cat owners may often encounter this. One does not have to lose their pet with this pet tracker. In addition, it makes finding one’s pet a lot easier.
This wireless pet locator is very light and small making it ideal for smaller pets. It can be used on practically any pet – dogs, cats, ferrets, tortoises and even chickens.
Range
This pet tracker can locate any pet within 400 feet when its battery is new. The signal tends to get weaker as the battery loses its power. It will also need a clear line of sight to work best.
This is not the best device to use if there are a lot of trees and walls in the area. The device works best in open fields or environments. When one does not instantly get a signal, it may mean having to re-register the tag to the handheld device or walk around until one gets a signal.
Ease of use
The splash proof case is made of silicon and it encases the transmitter. This case is then slipped on to the pet’s collar. The pet does not usually mind the weight of the device.
To locate one’s pet, one just has to turn the device on and press locate. As mentioned above, if it does not instantly get a signal, one can walk towards the direction of the strongest signal. The handheld device shows where it is strongest. Finding one’s pet is really easy using this tracking device.

Even if the device works best with a clear line of sight, it still works past a few walls. At times, it can be difficult to read the display especially under direct sunlight. Some people can have a difficult time using this device because of this.
This device has turned out to be a good training device for some cat owners. After pressing the locate button, the pet tag beeps. Some cats have learned that their owners are looking for them when it beeps and they just run back home.
This pet tracker is a good device for home owners if their pet does not really stray too far. One can get rid of their “fear” whenever their pet leaves the house and even let their pet run free with the use of this device.

The Loc8tor Pet is the smallest and lightest on the market, water resistant and sold for a reasonable price but has a limited range of 400 ft and can be difficult to use.
